Muir Station Smiles is a leading pediatric dental practice dedicated to providing high-quality dental care in a comfortable and supportive environment tailored specifically for children. We are committed to making every child’s visit positive and anxiety-free, and we are looking for a passionate Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team.

In this position, you will will assist the dentist in providing comprehensive dental care to pediatric patients. This role involves both clinical and administrative duties, ensuring that the office runs smoothly and that patients receive exceptional care. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong understanding of pediatric dental procedures and protocols.

Schedule & Location

  • This is a full-time position
  • Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Concord Office

Job Responsibilities Include

  • Assist the dentist in various dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, restorations, and extractions, with a focus on pediatric patients.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
  • Manage patient flow and ensure timely communication between the dentist, patients, and their families.
  • Educate patients and parents about proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care tailored for children.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with prescribed safety protocols.
  • Record patient medical histories, dental information, and treatment plans accurately.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, follow up on recalls, and manage patient files.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment area to enhance the patient experience.
  • Assist in dental office operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Stay current on dental technology, procedures, and best practices relevant to pediatric dentistry.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
  • Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) licensure (if applicable) and CPR certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in pediatric dental assisting preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and best practices in pediatric dentistry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children and their parents.
  • Compassionate, patient, and friendly demeanor, with a genuine love for working with kids.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with dental software and technology is a plus.
