Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Contractor to join our team for a 3+ month contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling software administration accounts, setting up and managing Ethernet networks, and performing various other IT-related duties. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Administration:

  • Manage and maintain software accounts and licenses.
  • Provide support for software installations, updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure software compliance with company policies and licensing agreements.

Ethernet Network Setup:

  • Design, install, and configure Ethernet networks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
  • Perform regular network maintenance and upgrades.

IT Support:

  • Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Set up and configure new computers and peripheral equipment.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.

Security:

  • Implement and maintain IT security measures.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents.
  • Ensure data protection and backup procedures are followed.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and changes.
  • Prepare and present reports on IT activities and issues.
  • Document processes and procedures for future reference.

Other Duties:

  • Assist with IT projects and initiatives as required.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to staff on IT-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of software administration and network setup.
  • Experience with Ethernet network design, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with IT security practices and data protection.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work on-site and remotely as needed.
  • Flexibility to respond to IT emergencies outside of regular working hours.
