WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A LEGAL & COMPLIANCE ANALYST

As a Legal & Compliance Analyst at Granite Edvance, your day-to-day will involve conducting legal research, analyzing compliance regulations, and developing compliance procedures. You'll collaborate with various teams to ensure our programs adhere to all student lending legal and compliance requirements. You'll also assist in drafting compliance reports and conducting internal audits.

Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly are key to succeeding in this role. Get ready to immerse yourself in the world of consumer compliance and contribute to our mission of making a positive impact in the community.

What You Need To Be Successful

Successful candidates for the Legal & Compliance Analyst position at Granite Edvance should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, or in a legal, audit, or compliance role within consumer lending and/or higher education is essential. Your ability to interpret federal consumer lending laws, regulations, and standards is crucial. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines are key to success in this position. You should be adept at handling confidential information with discretion, resolving escalated situations, and making sound decisions.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration across all levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is required, along with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Additional Knowledge And Skills Required For The Position Are

• High degree of initiative with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret legal data and metrics.
• Ability to recognize risks related to state and federal regulatory guidance, with a primary focus on BSA/AML and third-party risk and vendor management; ability to escalate as needed to Senior Management.
