The Role of Work Experience Placement

Parttime positions for the 2024/25 season are open to graduates or students who have passed their General Assessment. All hours completed at the club will count towards required logbook hours.

Following the success of our previous internship programmes Brentford FC are looking for a number of current students or recent graduates in sports massage to work closely with both the 1 st Team and development squads. They would be required to work during busy periods throughout the season.

Main Accountabilities

To support the Medical Department in a number of duties including:

• Assisting in the treatment of injuries when required
• Assisting in the data collection and audit of injuries
• Providing sports massage pre and posttraining
• Ensuring that any concerns you observe or are raised with you in your role are shared with the Safeguarding Team through appropriate channels

General Club Accountabilities

• To ensure compliance with all relevant Club policies including health and safety policies and with specific reference to the data regulations
• To ensure compliance with all relevant legal regulatory ethical and social requirements
• To ensure compliance with the Clubs Safeguarding Policy and processes
• To ensure compliance with the Clubs Code of Conduct
• To promote equity diversity and inclusion at the Club in line with our EDI strateg
• To build and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally maintaining a professional image at all times when representing Brentford FC
• To keep confidential any information gained regarding the Club and its personnel
• To maintain a flexible approach to work at all times
• Any other relevant tasks and duties as directed by your line manager

Person Specification Essential Personal Characteristics

• Extremely motivated and passionate about high performance sport
• Ability to work independently (supervisor available to students) and be competent under pressure working within strict timeframes
• Demonstrate a willingness to continue education and develop skills in an elite environment
