Substitute Certified Autistic Support Teacher – Alliance for Progress Charter School (Pennsylvania)

Spur, a digital staffing agency , is seeking a dedicated and punctual Long-Term Certified Autistic Support Teacher to join Alliance for Progress Charter School .

Position Overview

The Substitute Certified Autistic Support Teacher will play a vital role in creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment for students with autism. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced setting , following all school policies and Spur guidelines while ensuring student safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise students consistently during assigned hours.
• Develop and implement engaging enrichment lessons tailored to students’ needs.
• Lead students in structured and unstructured activities that promote learning and social development.
• Implement behavior management strategies in accordance with school policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with staff to support student progress and ensure individualized learning goals are met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED (Required)
• Certified Autism Specialist Certification (or related certificate)
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
• Pennsylvania Criminal History Background Check ($25.00)
• Pennsylvania FBI Fingerprinting
• Friendly, professional, and punctual demeanor.
• Prior experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs .

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $40.00/hour
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (when school is in session; hours may vary by location)
