Position: Tax Manager - Public Accounting
Location: Phoenix, AZ (In-Office)
Job Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, with potential for partnership within 2-4 years

Position Summary:
A growing CPA firm in North Phoenix is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to provide comprehensive tax planning, consulting, and compliance services. This is an ideal opportunity for a tax professional aiming for partnership within a well-established firm. The position is fully in-office, with a team of 13 and a supportive, close-knit environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Planning & Compliance: Deliver innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services across corporate, partnership, individual, trust, and estate taxes.
• Client Management: Develop and maintain strong client relationships, efficiently managing client expectations and tax engagements.
• Leadership & Team Development: Supervise and mentor Tax Seniors and Staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Business Development: Engage in networking and business development activities to strengthen client relationships and expand the firm’s client base.
• IRS & Filing Proficiency: Handle IRS interactions and oversee the signing and e-filing of tax forms (1065, 1120, 1120S, 1040s).
• Technical Skills: Maintain proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and preferably UltraTax for tax preparation and filing.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
• Certification: Active CPA license is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in tax practice within public accounting, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation.
• Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements and deliver creative, value-added solutions for clients.
